Privacy policy

What data Cliqda collects, why, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it.

Last updated: 25 October 2026

1. Who we are

Cliqda (“Cliqda”, “we”, “us”) is a paid search management service available at cliqda.com and app.cliqda.com, operated by Cliqda, 12800 Whitewater Dr #100, Minnetonka, MN 55343, United States. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@cliqda.com.

This policy covers the Cliqda website and application. It explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you use Cliqda through an agency or employer, they may also have their own privacy terms.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign up or are invited to a team: your name, work email address, company name, password (stored only as a one-way hash), team membership and role, and the preferences you set in the product.

Billing information

Subscription and invoicing details. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store full card numbers.

Data from advertising and analytics accounts you connect

Cliqda only accesses an advertising or analytics account after you sign in to that platform and grant permission. Depending on what you connect, this includes:

  • Google Ads and Google Analytics 4: campaign, performance and analytics report data, as described in detail in section 4.
  • Microsoft Advertising, Meta Ads and LinkedIn Ads: comparable account structure and performance data.
  • Slack, if you connect it: the workspace and channel you choose for alert notifications.

We also store the OAuth access and refresh tokens these platforms issue so Cliqda can keep your data in sync. Advertising and analytics data is overwhelmingly aggregated business data about campaigns, not about individual people. Cliqda does not request access to your Google account’s email, contacts, files or any data beyond the scopes listed above.

Content you create

Notes, reports, alert rules, ad copy drafts, saved prompts, and messages you send to Cliqda’s AI assistant.

Usage and technical data

Server logs (IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps and errors) used to run, secure and debug the service, and records of emails we send you.

3. How we use information

We use the information above only to provide and improve Cliqda for you, specifically to:

  • sync and display your campaign and analytics performance in dashboards and reports;
  • generate optimisation recommendations, alerts, audits and scorecards for your accounts;
  • apply changes to your advertising accounts, such as adding negative keywords or adjusting bids and budgets, only when you or a teammate approves them or turns on an automation for that account;
  • answer questions and draft ad copy through the AI assistant at your request;
  • send the notifications and reports you have set up, and service emails;
  • bill your subscription, provide support, and keep the service secure and reliable.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising, for building profiles of individuals, or for any purpose unrelated to providing Cliqda to you.

4. Google user data

This section describes specifically how the Cliqda application accesses, uses, shares, protects, retains and deletes Google user data, meaning data we receive through Google APIs when you connect a Google Ads account or Google Analytics 4 property.

Cliqda’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google user data we access

  • Google Ads (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords): the Google Ads accounts you have access to; campaigns, ad groups, keywords, negative keywords, ads, assets, budgets, bidding and conversion settings; performance metrics; search term reports; Google’s recommendations; and account change history.
  • Google Analytics 4 (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly, read-only): the properties you have access to and aggregated report data such as sessions, engagement, conversions and revenue by date, channel, campaign and landing page.
  • The OAuth tokens Google issues so that Cliqda can keep this data in sync.

Cliqda does not access your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar, or any Google data beyond these two scopes.

How we use Google user data

We use Google user data only to provide and improve user-facing features of the Cliqda application: showing your Google Ads and Google Analytics performance in dashboards and reports; generating optimisation recommendations, audits and alerts; answering your questions and drafting ad copy in the AI assistant; and making changes in your Google Ads account (for example adding negative keywords or adjusting budgets) only when you or a teammate approves them or switches on an automation for that account.

We do not use Google user data for any of the following:

  • selling it, or providing it to data brokers or information resellers;
  • serving advertisements, including personalised, retargeted or interest-based advertisements;
  • determining creditworthiness or for lending purposes;
  • building databases or profiles of individuals for any other purpose;
  • developing, improving or training generalised or non-personalised AI or machine learning models.

How we share Google user data

We share, transfer or disclose Google user data only: with the members of your Cliqda team you give access to; with the service providers listed in section 5, solely to provide the features above (in particular, Amazon Web Services stores it, and OpenAI processes the relevant campaign data when you use an AI feature, without using it to train models); when required by law; or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice to you. Our staff do not read Google user data unless you give us permission (for example in a support request), it is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, it is required by law, or it has been aggregated and anonymised for internal operations.

How we protect Google user data

Google user data is transferred only over encrypted (TLS) connections and stored on access restricted servers in the United States. OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest, and only staff who operate the service can access production systems.

Retention and deletion of Google user data

We keep Google user data for as long as the Google account stays connected to your Cliqda account, so that Cliqda can show history and trends. You can revoke Cliqda’s access at any time from your Google Account permissions page, after which Cliqda can no longer retrieve new data. To have Google user data already stored by Cliqda deleted, email support@cliqda.com; we delete it within 30 days, and we delete it automatically within 30 days of your Cliqda account being closed.

5. Service providers we share data with

We share data only with service providers that process it on our behalf to run Cliqda, under contracts that limit their use to that purpose:

  • Amazon Web Services (United States): application hosting, database, file storage and email delivery.
  • OpenAI (United States): generates AI assistant answers, recommendation explanations and ad copy. Relevant campaign data and your prompt are sent through OpenAI’s API to produce the response you asked for. Under OpenAI’s API terms, this data is not used to train their models.
  • Stripe: payment processing and billing.
  • DataForSEO: keyword and search result research. Only keywords and domains are sent, never account credentials.
  • Google PageSpeed Insights: landing page speed checks. Only the public URLs of your landing pages are sent.
  • Slack: delivers alert notifications, if you connect it.

Within your Cliqda team, data from a connected account is visible to the teammates you give access to. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.

6. Storage and security

  • Data is stored on servers in the United States.
  • All traffic to Cliqda is encrypted in transit with TLS.
  • OAuth tokens for connected platforms are encrypted at rest, and passwords are stored only as salted one-way hashes.
  • Access to production systems is limited to staff who need it to operate the service.

If you are outside the United States, your data is transferred to and processed in the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

7. Retention and deletion

  • Account, content and connected-platform data is kept for as long as your account is active, so that Cliqda can show history and trends.
  • Email delivery logs and alert evaluation records are deleted after 90 days; landing page performance history after 365 days.
  • To disconnect a platform, revoke access from that platform (for Google, use the link in section 4) and ask us to delete the data already synced from it.
  • To delete your Cliqda account, email support@cliqda.com. We delete your account and the data synced from your connected accounts within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (such as invoices).

8. Cookies

The Cliqda application uses cookies and browser storage that are necessary for signing in and keeping you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies. See the cookie policy for details.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email support@cliqda.com; we respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Children

Cliqda is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

11. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will notify account owners by email before it takes effect.
